My grandma asked me to write this because she doesn’t know how to do reviews. She lives in an older house in Florissant and was having a bunch of problems with her lights and stuff not working right. These guys came out and fixed the box in her basement and got everything working again. They were really nice and patient with her, even when she kept asking the same questions over and over. She’s really happy with everything and wanted me to say thank you.

They were organized and professional throughout the engagement. It was easy to schedule for an estimate/quote, and the staff that visited the home walked through the work (providing context/education) and what was required. We had to have a new box installed, which we felt informed about after the visit. After accepting the quote, they scheduled staff and provided updates regarding arrival to begin the work. The office staff were helpful with logistics, questions, and other billing matters. We were overall very pleased.

Potts has been incredible to work with. My wife and I are preparing for a kitchen remodel in the spring and called them for help. We updated our electrical panel, installed a sub-panel, and had everything brought up to code in about a day and a half of work. Their estimates are timely and very competitive. This was also the only company I encountered that offered a lifetime warranty on their labor and parts that spanned from the electrical panel to the meter. So happy we chose Potts. Had a good feeling when we met with Montel and were quoted a fair price for moving our service, plus installing a new electrical panel and adding a generator shut-off switch. Also, at the time of our quote we were made aware of a prior unsafe situation created by another electrician (which they fixed, leaving us with a nice safe and warm fuzzy feeling when we go to sleep now!). Our installer, Sean, did a great job. He did the job quickly, and he did a great job (organizing the wires in the new panel and mounting the boxes and additional wires on our siding so nicely). Sean did a great job communicating with us along the way and was very diligent about the quality of his work. Also, we would be remiss if we did not mention that our family life is a little action-packed and hectic, especially with our autistic son around. Sean was so patient and unfazed by all the extra chaos! Thank you for making us feel like a valued customer.

We had a two-person team of Steven Boaz and Brandon Fitzsimmons from Potts Electric come to our home to repair and upgrade our service to 200 amp in our century home. They were prepared, professional, and (very importantly to us) friendly and mindful of our dogs and being certain they did not get out/they secured gates, etc. when the dogs were not cordoned off away from their work areas. These century homes can have a LOT of unexpecteds come up with any and all repairs. As I stated, they were obviously well-skilled and ready to address our old house’s needs. When told that replacing the main electrical circuit breaker panel box where power enters the home and is distributed throughout the house, installing a ground rod, and replacing 48 switches and plugs would be a one-day job, I was skeptical. When 3 servicemen arrived at 8:00 a.m. as scheduled, my opinion began to change. With lead man Courtney Perkins spearheading the job and directing Adam and Steven, the job was completed as committed. The crew was timely, expert, and efficient. Let's add courteous and entirely professional. I was particularly impressed when Courtney sat in his service vehicle until 7:30 p.m. when Ameren finally arrived to turn the electrical service back on. He then went throughout the house, ensuring that every circuit was functional. If it sounds like I was impressed with the price and quality of work, I indeed was. We’d been having a prolonged electrical issue in the kitchen which turned out to be really serious. Marion came out and found that our electrical panel had scorch marks and rust throughout it! The next morning, Sean and Steven were here replacing the panel and the meter box. They were incredibly polite and did great work. We’re very grateful for how thorough and quick Potts was! I also want to mention that Ameren told Erin it would be two weeks before they could come out to shut off the power so Potts could work, but she told them it was an emergency situation and got them to come out the next morning, so thank you, Erin, for going to bat against Ameren for us! Potts also has themselves listed as LGBTQ+ friendly, which I can confirm they are! My wife and I, with our various visible Pride flags around the house, felt very safe. If you’re queer and that’s something you’re looking for, Potts is a good choice.

Anthony did a truly outstanding job Sep 3, 2025

Anthony Dietz did a superb job for us installing a new electric panel with surge protection for our house. Our old panel was 28 years old and ready for replacement. In addition, lightning strikes have caused much damage. We are hopeful the surge protection can help guard against that going forward. Anthony did a truly outstanding job as a Journeyman. We were surprised he is not a Master yet. Also, Dustin Roberts did strong work for us installing an exterior light. Again, we were surprised that he is an apprentice and not a Journeyman yet. All in, their work was superb. The only issue is we contacted Potts to install an exterior light and replace an outdoor weather-protected GFI near our pool. Anthony tried for hours to decipher our GFI connections that continue to short circuit our pool light. He was frustrated and tried everything for hours. Maybe Potts Electric should send over a Master Electrician to try and solve that puzzle that still is not repaired.
