This is a little overdue but important. When we had a near-disaster in February, Potts was there within an hour. The owner, who helped us on a weekend, communicated the severity of the situation and had us fixed and ready to go by Wednesday. They came back a few days later to complete the full repair. They were on time, polite, answered questions and did a great job. My whole electrical panel in my house burned out on Good Friday, and I had no power anywhere in the house. I called a number of places and they all said they could come out Tuesday! I called Potts, and they said, yes, they could send someone after he was done on the current job. Courtney showed up about 45 minutes later, and he was amazing! He spent quite a bit of time sourcing what happened, which amp blew the panel, etc. He ended up staying until almost 11:00 p.m. to get everything safely back installed and running. Cannot recommend them more highly!

Immediate response without paying $432 annual membership. Another electrician with 618 area code (Illinois) took a week to provide quote due to not being a member? Upon arrival, Courtney was detail oriented, searched multiple issues, and made multiple fixes without hesitation. Volunteered to make multiple trips to acquire the right parts. Despite the unrecognized initial time and labor from initial quote, final bill with additional parts was still $100 below 2 other bids. Definitely will keep Potts, local electrician as my "go to" electrician.

5 Stars Isn't Enough! Dec 17, 2024

5 Stars isn't enough! When we had an electrical problem we called many electricians in our immediate area - not one was able to respond before January 1 - and most said after the 15th. I went through the Google listings of electricians and came to Potts. They were willing to make the one-hour drive to reach our home, and they worked us into their schedule right away. The electrician who made the repairs was friendly and tidy! He explained what had gone wrong, what was necessary to repair things, etc. And when we were given our bill, we were stunned. We expected to pay at least 5 times more than we were billed! Needless to say, if we need an electrician, this is who we will call. We will tell all our family & friends to contact them as well.

A recent electrical problem prompted his appearance, who, within a 9-hour period, resolved his intended portion of the work with more to follow. He worked consistently throughout the day under extremely hot conditions. I hope we kept him sufficiently hydrated and encouraged throughout the day. Update: Courtney was AMAZING! He saved us! I ended up having to have my electrical box changed out. He had to move his schedule around because we had an emergency situation. He did an incredible job! He explained everything to me in great detail. His work was flawless! He had it up and running in about 5 or 6 hours, and that was with a trip for materials. I can't say enough great things about this company and the professionals who work there! Everyone is a 10 out of 10! Brandon was great!!! He came out to help me on a weekend. The price was very reasonable considering that fact. He was thorough when evaluating my electrical system (indoors and outdoors), listened to my needs, wasn't pushy, and provided me with 3 estimates that covered everything we discussed. They offer financing AND offer "transferable" lifetime warranties, which is rare to find. I highly recommend Potts Electric. The owner even got on the phone with me to talk through the estimates and to answer my questions... on a Saturday. Customer for life!
